Learn about Let's Go Heal

The Story Behind Lets Go Heal.

Let's Go Heal was born from personal experience, from knowing what it feels like to need a safe space and not being able to find one.

I'm Breshayla, founder of Let's Go Heal. I created this organization because I believe our community deserves better. Our Black men deserve to be seen. Our Black women deserve to rest. Our families deserve to thrive. And our ancestors deserve to be honored through our healing.

This is not just an organization. This is a calling.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Let's Go Heal exists to break the silence around mental health in the Black community by honoring the strength of our ancestors, championing our Black men, holding space for our Black women, strengthening our families, and welcoming everyone who needs a place to heal. We create safe, nurturing spaces where people can rise, thrive, and come home to themselves; because wellness belongs to all of us, and none of us should have to heal alone.

Our Vision

A world where every Black man feels safe enough to say 'I need help.' Where every Black woman knows she is allowed to rest. Where our ancestors are honored through our healing, because every wound we close is one they never got the chance to heal. Where every family has a space to grow together, and where every person, regardless of where they come from, can walk through our doors and feel free. We are building a legacy that outlasts us, for our generation and every generation to come.

Our Core Values

Community

We are rooted in the Black experience and we open our arms to everyone. We heal better together, across gender, background, and story. No one is turned away. No child is left out.

Safety

Every person, online, at our events, or in our future wellness center, is met with warmth, respect, and zero judgment. This is a safe space, always and without exception.

Freedom

We believe healing leads to freedom, freedom to feel, to rest, to rise, to thrive, and to live as your fullest self without apology. That freedom is your birthright.

Courage

We honor the bravery it takes to say "I am not okay." For our Black men, who are told strength means silence, this is your safe place to lay that down. For our Black women, who have carried the weight of generations, you are allowed to rest, to break, to heal. Strength and softness can coexist here. Asking for help is the most powerful thing any of us can do.

Wholeness

We honor the full person, mind, body, and spirit. Healing is not one-size-fits-all and we hold space for every part of who you are, exactly as you are.

Ancestry

We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. Our ancestors survived unimaginable pain so that we could be here, and we honor them by doing what they never had the freedom to do: heal. Every step we take toward wholeness is a step we take for them. Their resilience lives in us. Their wounds deserve to close through us. We carry them forward with love.

Legacy

Everything we build is for the next generation. Our youth programs, our events, our wellness center, this is bigger than right now. We are planting seeds we may never see fully bloom, and we plant them anyway.
